Greentech City Dresden

Climate change and resource shortages are forcing people to change the way they live and do business. Dresden-made ‘green tech’ is already helping them get closer to achieving this goal. Over 360 key figures in the Saxon state capital are focusing their energies on green technology. These include around 70 research institutes and more than 270 businesses, from start-ups, university spin-offs and SMEs to internationally operating corporate groups. The green-tech cluster has already launched a number of internationally acclaimed technologies that have proven to be profitable, with double-digit sales increasing a common occurrence for the local environmental-tech businesses. And given the various climate challenges ahead, Dresden-made green tech is expected to keep growing strongly in the years to come.
