#futureofcompute: Shaping the digital future secure and green

The Future of compute: Green, open, efficient - that's the motto of Cloud&Heat Technologies, a Dresden-based cloud service and technology provider. With its vision of holistic, open and sustainable solutions, the company develops and operates scalable digital infrastructures. It specifically relies on open source software, also on the basis of OpenStack, the open source standard for cloud platforms, in order to bring more transparency to the cloud and data center market. In addition, the Dresden-based company aims to resolve the conflict arising from the rapidly growing demand for computing power, e. g. in the areas of deep and machine learning, and sustainability with the help of innovative technologies (use of water-cooled servers and reuse of server waste heat), thereby improving the climate footprint across sectors. Since its foundation in 2011, the Saxon company has established a solid position in a broad network consisting of renowned players from business, research and politics. Cloud&Heat Technologies currently employs over 100 people and operates data centers worldwide. The company has already received numerous important awards, including the German Data Center Award (three times) and the Tech Tour Innovation Award, and is involved in many research and development projects, such as Gaia-X, Tellus or AiSprint.
