Green hydrogen for industry

ITM Linde Electrolysis

How ITM Linde’s electrolysis plant works
How ITM Linde’s electrolysis plant works

From hype to reality – ITM Linde Electrolysis is designing the world’s largest hydrogen electrolysis plant. The Dresden-based company is a joint venture between ITM Power, a British electrolysis specialist, and Linde, one of the planet’s leading industrial-gas companies. Due for completion in 2022, the plant is to be built at the Leuna chemistry park in Saxony-Anhalt, and supply green hydrogen to local industrial companies and petrol stations in the region via a pipeline network. With an output of 24 megawatts, the plant is currently the world’s largest planned PEM electrolyser. But the Dresden-based technical teams from Linde Engineering and ITM Power are confident the plant is just the beginning of green key technology, because green hydrogen will play a central role in the future decarbonisation of industrial production processes. And ITM Linde is already offering customers the latest electrolysis technology to manufacture green hydrogen.
