Dispose of bulky waste

Correct disposal of bulky waste from private households

Bulky waste up to a maximum volume of two cubic metres (pressed) can be collected from your home for a fee (in accordance with the waste management fee statute).

Please fill out the following application form completely. Pressing the 'Send data' button sends the application to Stadtreinigung Dresden GmbH as the commissioned disposal company. If you enter your email address, you will receive an order confirmation. You will be informed in writing of the date of collection, instructions on the provision of bulky waste, and the notification of fees. As a rule, the collection takes place within four weeks.
Note: forms are currently available in German only.

What is bulky waste?

According to the waste management statutes, bulky waste is waste that may not be placed in the waste containers due to its dimensions, nature or weight. This includes, among other things:

  • cabinets, cabinet parts, cabinet walls
  • chests of drawers, sideboards, shelves
  • couches, sofas, armchairs
  • chairs, stools, swivel chairs, rocking chairs
  • tables, garden benches
  • carpets, carpeting, floor covering
  • mattresses, duvets, bedsteads
  • chests, boxes, suitcases, laundry baskets (emptied)
  • sewing machines, bicycles
  • big toys
  • camping furniture, rotary clothes lines
  • strollers, prams
  • lamps, curtain rods

What does not belong in bulky waste?

  • packaging waste
  • large household appliances
  • electrical and electronic equipment
  • automotive parts
  • tyres
  • scrap metal
  • construction debris

Please note: Removable electrical or electronic components in bulky waste must be dismantled before disposal and handed in separately as electronic scrap at a recycling centre!
