The Dresden Technical Collections are both a museum and a science center. The Mathematics Experience Land and the “Wellenreiter” (wave rider) experimentation field offer visitors the opportunity to experiment independently and learn about natural phenomena, scientific methods, and the basics of technology in a playful way. In the “Katze Q” escape room, families and groups can immerse themselves in the crazy world of quantum physics. In the exhibition “Kamerastadt Dresden” (Camera City Dresden), the museum looks back on a century in which over 40 manufacturers of cameras, film cameras, projectors, and special accessories made Dresden the largest location for the industry in Europe. Many innovations and the quality of Dresden's camera industry remain legendary to this day. Special exhibitions present regional and international photography. In the 48-meter-high Ernemann Tower, a café invites visitors to enjoy the view over Dresden.
