Health certificate

The instruction provides information about hygiene regulations and health requirements. It consists of a group lecture followed by a personal interview with the public health officer and an oral exam. It is always held in German. In total, the process takes a maximum of two hours.

Legal basis: § 43 IfSG

This is what you need to bring with you to the instruction:

• A valid identity document:
  • Identity card
  • Passport with registration certificate
  • Residence certificate
  • Student ID card
• Certificates for exemption from costs, if applicable
• Writing materials

Costs

The fee is 37.00 euros.

Exemption from costs

For the following groups of persons, the health certificate is free of charge upon presentation of an appropriate certificate:

• Pupils with compulsory school courses
• Pupils in vocational preparation and basic vocational training year
• Persons doing voluntary service

Assumption of costs by the employer

If the costs are covered by the employer, written proof is required on the day of the instruction or in advance by e-mail to gesundheitsamt-infektionsschutz@dresden.de. This must include:

• Full company address, full first name and surname of an internal company contact person for invoicing purposes
• Full first and last name, date of birth and address of the person taking part

• Cash payment
• Card payment (EC and VISA)
• Invoice (for companies)

Duplicate

You can obtain a duplicate health certificate for a fee of 20 euros.
