Wostra camp-site

Camping season lasts from Easter to October. In this time Camping Wostra south-east of Dresden greets campers and caravans from near and far. The Wostra camp-site is located on the southeast outskirts of the city, 200 metres from the Elbe and the Elbe Cycle Path. A total of 70 pitches, modern sanitary facilities, a well-equipped recreation room and the neighbouring naturist swimming pool provide everything needed for an enjoyable camping stay.

Capacity and equipment

The camping area is six hectares in size and has amenities to please all campers. There is a well-maintained central tenting ground with space for about 50 tents; another camping ground for group use; and a site for caravans with more than 70 parking places with electricity.

Location and surroundings

The central but quiet location of Wostra Camping makes it the perfect place for travellers that are interested in culture or the nature. The camping site it the perfect starting point whether you get around by bike or along the water or whatever activity you are up to. The historical city centre of Dresden with its numerous sights and shopping opportunities is only 30 minutes by public transport. The impressive Pillnitz castle and park are only a stone’s throw away on the other side of the Elbe and can be easily reached by the Kleinzschachwitz ferry. The adjacent Elbe Cycle Path is ideal for cycling trips either to the heart of the city or even to Radebeul or Meißen, or to the nearby National Park Sächsische Schweiz. The varied facets of the Elbe Valley can be admired from the water by taking a canoe, a kayak or a steamboat ride on the river. There are numerous restaurants, beer gardens and pubs in the vicinity of the camping site.

To reach the camping site over the A17, drive off to the direction Heidenau. After entering Dresden, turn left at the first traffic light and then follow the signs.
