Josef Hegenbarth Archive
The archive preserves the artistic legacy of the Dresden artist Josef Hegenbarth (1884–1962) in his house at 2, Calberlastraße in Dresden-Loschwitz. Here the draftsman, graphic artist and painter lived and worked from 1923 onwards. In 1988 his wife, Johanna Hegenbarth, bequeathed the property and her husband’s artistic estate to the Kupferstich-Kabinett der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden (the Dresden State Art Collections' Cabinet of Prints and Drawings). On the first floor are exhibition rooms for temporary exhibitions, while on the second visitors can view the former living rooms and studio, where Josef Hegenbarth’s works are kept and displayed.
