Deutsches Hygiene-Museum

The permanent exhibition "The Human Adventure" presents not only valuable exhibits from the Museum’s collection — including transparent figures, wax moulages, anatomical models and more — but also many interactive elements and media installations. The exhibition offers many opportunities for young and old to marvel, learn, and actively engage with the subject matter.
The Children’s Museum, a separate exhibition all about the five senses, was opened in December 2005. The multisensory experience is aimed at children aged four to twelve years.
The Deutsches Hygiene-Museum devotes space to changing temporary exhibitions, which have contributed greatly to the Museum’s national and international reputation in recent years. The exhibitions are developed by curators and scientific project teams working in close cooperation with designers, artists, technicians, and exhibition architects.
These presentations deal with the latest scientific findings in the study of Man, as well as with cultural issues of everyday life. The Museum’s special exhibitions also address problems of social policy and issues in the history of ideas and culture.
