Young people
"Youth is not a stage in life,
it is an attitude; it is an expression of will,
of imagination and emotional intensity.
It means the victory of courage over disheartenment,
the victory of a spirit of adventure
over a tendency to idleness."
(Marcus Aurelius)
Dresden is a young city. Some 74,000 residents of the Saxon capital are younger than 18. It is exciting to be young in Dresden! Cinemas, theatres, concerts, parties, hobbies... the possibilities are practically endless.
Dresden is called a "student city" for good reason. There are many different study options to choose from.
The city offers a broad range of educational institutions beyond »normal« schools, including the Dresden International School. Vocational schools and academies, technical colleges and universities can look back at a long tradition in Dresden.
