Parks and green spaces

Dresden's parks and green spaces
Dresden's city parks are places with rich historical traditions and are thus essential aspects in the cultural identity of the city's inhabitants.
At the same time, they bring nature to the doorstep even at the heart of a dense urban environment. Dresden possesses over 500 hectares of parks and other green spaces, including important parks such as the Grosser Garten park, Pillnitz Palace and the Bürgerwiese park. Extensive reconstruction measures over the past few years have significantly enhanced the quality of Dresden's historical parks and gardens.
