Vision & Mission

Work and Aims

Dresden's city council confirmed the concept for the reorientation of Dresden's marketing strategy in December 2008. The following aims and areas of work have been established: 

Aims of the Dresden Marketing Board

  • Development, management and communication of the "Dresden" logo.
  • Increase of national and international awareness of the Dresden logo with integrated, strategically oriented, coordinated and profiled marketing.
  • Targeted presentation and promotion of Dresden’s positive factors within the region as well as nationally and internationally.  
  • Coordination and connection of activities performed by municipal and government institutions and industry businesses which have an impact on Dresden’s marketing.
  • Commercial activities are not personally taken over by DMG. 

Areas of Work

 

  • The planning of an integrated strategy for Dresden’s marketing
  • Management of rearrangements and the communication of Dresden’s umbrella logo
  • Concepts and the implementation of comprehensive communication mediums for the Dresden logo (e.g. image brochure, image film, internet presentation with Media Server)
  • Cross-sector connection of target groups/activities oriented towards the target market
  • The acquisition, coordination and communication of events, seminars and congresses
  • Coordination of the town’s marketing activities, involved partners and municipal enterprises
  • International marketing of the Dresden region
  • National and international media work for specific events
  • Lively internal communication and efficient cooperation with partners and industry representatives
