Completely unusual - the MESSE DRESDEN (DRESDEN EXHIBITION CENTRE) is a second-to-none event location.

It provides space for trade fairs, company events, congresses, seminars, concerts, shows and special events.

Make yourself at home near to the historic city centre. Industrial architecture from the 19th and 20th century before the German reunification and contemporary design from the 21st century are unified a pleasing functional and atmospheric symbiosis.

The Dresden State Operetta is the unique light musical theatre in Europe. The theatre is renowned for cultivating the legacy of Johann Strauss - apart from "Vienna Blood", two virtually forgotten works by the Waltz King can be found in its repertoire: the melody-rich "Roman Carneval" and as of April 2007 "The Queen's Lace Handkerchief". Now for the third time, a rediscovered
Johann Strauss masterpiece is being staged at the Dresden State Operetta: "Prince Methusalem." The premiere will be on April 23rd, 2010.

The State Operetta's varied programme of operettas, light operas and musicals focuses on classics such as "Die Fledermaus" and "Boccaccio", but also "The Magic Flute", the musicals "Jekyll & Hyde" and "Chess".

Music, hit songs, dance and also an amusing story are important for a good operetta and every Musical. The Ensemble of the Dresden State Operetta comprises 23 soloists, 58 members of the orchestra, 27 choristers und 18 dancers.
