Dresden by boat

Cast off! If a land tour of Dresden sounds a bit too boring for you, try exploring the Saxon capital from the water. The paddle-wheel steamer »Palace Tour« passes by the imposing Elbe River palaces, the Blue Wonder and the idyllic »Maria am Wasser« (Mary on the Water) church before arriving at Pillnitz Palace, the former residence of Saxon kings and princes.

Our employees will also be happy to advise you on the phone. Please give us a call! You can reach our Telephone Service Center Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.

You can book your boat tour in our Tourist Information Office in the Palace of Culture. The Palace of Culture (Kulturpalast) is located on Wilsdruffer Straße across from the Altmarkt.

The five Elbe bridges are the focal point of the »Bridge Tour«, a summer tour that steams past the Blasewitz and Loschwitz villa district without any stops in between. Dresden's illuminated skyline is especially impressive on the »Evening Tour«, with the world-famous »Canaletto perspective« and the Frauenkirche Church. The Saxon steamboat tours also offer longer trips through Saxon Switzerland and the Elbe region.
