Dresden by car

Dresden can be reached directly on three motorways. The A 4 approaches the city from the West (Cologne-Eisenach-Chemnitz), and the A 13 from the North (Rostock-Berlin). The A 17 links the Saxon capital with Prague.

Since 1990, considerable sums have been invested in expansion of the road network, in parking facilities and in intelligent traffic control systems. Further major construction projects are in preparation. The central objective pursued by the city administration and its partners is to make road transport more efficient and less harmful to the environment.

A dynamic car park information and guidance system directs drivers to the nearest available car parking facility. The constantly updated information on parking availability is accessible unfortunaly only in German.

Parking for only 5 Euro per day

Who would rather park his car in central downtown in the underground car park »Neumarkt« and »Altmarkt«, should use the special offer of the Q-Park GmbH. In the Tourist Information tickets are available, which allow parking in the heart of the city for only 5 euro. This special ticket will be charged during the payment process with the parking price.
