A sheer endless diversity of clubs, events and locations have contributed to the fantastic reputation of the Dresden party scene. Whether house and electro, or R&B, soul and hip-hop, whether dance, rock and pop, Gothic or even mainstream evergreens,  every conceivable musical direction has its own permanent place. Alongside the regular party venues, there are also all manner of special event locations. Old factory cellars, a shopping arcade or even historical walls here and there.

Open Air Clubs and Bars

In the summer, beach bars such as the "Puro Beach" and the "City Beach" along the Elbe River attract  visitors with tropical feeling and hot rhythms. The cocktails and long drinks taste especially delicious when feeling the sand between your toes. You can either relax on a sun lounger or play beach volleyball and beach soccer. Moreover, the hottest parties are thrown here: with giant sounds and state of the art light and video technology.
The open air bar „Elbsegler" next to Augustusbrücke is shaped like a ship and makes you feel you are sailing away.

Bars and pubs

Feel like a pub crawl? You will definitely enjoy yourself in the bars and pubs of Dresden Neustadt. On Alaunstrasse and Louisenstrasse, i.e., trendy local pubs alternate with bars and international specialty restaurants. Once visiting the Neustadt, we recommend you to make a detour to Kunsthofpassage (Art Courtyard Passage). The artfully created courtyards house a number of individual shops, cafés and studios.

On Weiße Gasse (Dresden Altstadt), visitors are spoilt for choice: About a dozen bars and restaurants in different styles invite the thirsty ones to stay.

Party at BRN and Unity.Dresden.Night

Every year in June the „Bunte Republik Neustadt" (BRN) turns Dresden Neustadt into a colourful party area. Bands play on street corners, street performers show their skills and residents offer homemade food.

Dresden's biggest party is the Unity.Dresden.Night in November. Thousands of party-addicts flock from one location to the next within the whole city centre.
