Stefan Robel

Stefan Robel, Dipl.-Pol., Geschäftsführer am Zentrum für Internationale Studien (ZIS) der Technischen Universität Dresden, studierte Politikwissenschaft, Volkswirtschaftslehre, Anglistik, Soziologie und Komparatistik an der Universität des Saarlandes, der University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) und der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt/Main, wo er 1994 mit Diplom abschloss. Von 1994 bis 1995 arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Hessischen Stiftung Friedens- und Konfliktforschung Frankfurt/ Main (HSFK), anschließend war er von 1995 bis 2004 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Dozent am Lehrstuhl für Internationale Politik der TU Dresden tätig. Im Dezember 2004 wechselte er als Geschäftsführer an das ZIS. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die Außen- und Weltpolitik der USA, Transatlantische Beziehungen, Theorien Internationaler Beziehungen, Globale Politische Ökonomie sowie Staats- und Gesellschaftstheorien.

Stefan Robel, Dipl. Pol., is Administrative Director of the School of International Studies (ZIS) at Dresden University of Technology. He has studied Political Science, Economics, English Language and Literature, Sociology and Comparative Studies at the University of the Saarland, the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) and Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main. He has worked as an academic assistant at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) and between 1995 and 2004 as assistant professor and lecturer at the Chair of International Politics, Dresden University of Technology. In December 2004, he joined the School of International Studies as its Administrative Director. His main research interests include US Foreign Policy, Transatlantic Relations, Theories of International Relations and International Political Economy, Global Political Economy and theories of the state and society.
