Dr. Achim Brunnengräber
Dr. Achim Brunnengräber ist Vertretungsprofessor am Lehrstuhl für Internationale Politik an der Technischen Universität Dresden und Privatdozent an der FU Berlin. Er koordiniert das EU-Projekt »Environmental Governance« im Rahmen von GARNET: »A Network of Excellence on Global Governance, Regionalisation and Regulation: The Role of the EU«. Vor seiner Habilitation im Jahre 2007 promovierte er am Otto-Suhr-Institut der FU Berlin (2000). Der Promotion waren ein Politologiestudium (1992, Berlin), ein Aufbaustudium zum Diplom-Entwicklungspolitologen in Bremen (1995) und ein Lehramts- Studium in Heidelberg (1987) vorausgegangen. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind die Internationalen Beziehungen, Global und Multi Level Governance, NGOs sowie die Energie-, Umwelt- und Klimapolitik.
Dr Achim Brunnengräber is visiting professor in the Department of International Politics at the Dresden University of Technology and Privatdozent at the Free University Berlin. He is coordinator of the EU Environmental Governance project within the GARNET Network of Excellence on “Global Governance, Regionalisation and Regulation: The Role of the EU”. Before attaining his habilitation in 2007, Dr Brunnengräber was awarded his doctorate at the Otto Suhr Institute of the Free University Berlin in 2000. Prior to this, he studied political science in Berlin (1992), then post-graduate studies leading to the Diplom-Entwicklungspolitologe (Diploma in Political Development Science) in Bremen (1995), and studied for a teaching qualification in Heidelberg (1987). Main areas of expertise: International Relations, global and multi-level governance, NGOs, and energy, environmental and climate policies.
